Programs & Materials Highlights
Our forward-thinking and groundbreaking research projects often result in insightful and inspiring learning materials, many for free.
Mixing in Math
What it is: Mixing in Math (MiM) offers free materials to help mix math into everything children do—from playing games to building towers to telling stories to catching up on chores. MiM materials consist of a large bank of activities, games, and projects for ages 2-12 in English and Spanish.
Takeaway: A significant challenge in climate change education is the lack of confidence among educators in delivering this complex topic. While recognizing its importance, many teachers grapple with limited resources and training, hindering effective implementation in classrooms.
How TERC Can Help: The Climate and Equity project plans to transform how climate and equity are taught by reducing teacher isolation and supporting collective growth. The project hosts 12 high-school teachers each year at a one-week, expenses-paid Institute. Learn more.
