Programs & Materials Highlights
Our forward-thinking and groundbreaking research projects often result in insightful and inspiring learning materials, many for free.
BioRobots
What it is: A free one-hour activity and four module curriculum designed to engage middle school students in using ideas from animal structure and function to build a biomimetic robot. BioRobots is an interdisciplinary learning curriculum that integrates science, engineering, and computing to engage students in biomimicry design challenges.
Takeaway: Fostering connections between subjects encourages students to think deeply about big problems and questions at the core of their work.
How TERC is joining the conversation: Dr. Michael Cassidy, experienced STEM educator and researcher, focuses on interdisciplinary curriculum development. His projects weave together diverse disciplines and practices. Learn about his emerging work.
