Climate and Equity Education:

A Summer Institute for Learning and Teaching

TERC, in partnership with the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, invites high school teachers to apply for a one-week, all-expenses-paid intensive on the beautiful coast of Maine.

Sun July 20 - Sat July 26, 2025
Application deadline: March 3rd, 2025

 

Teachers will:

  • explore the inequitable impacts of climate change
  • be inspired by sharing best practices for teaching climate equity
  • build community
  • explore some science
  • enjoy the tranquility of Maine woods and seashore
  • leave with a renewed sense of hope and purpose about making a difference!

Summer TERC Scholars Program: STEM Education Research through a Social Justice Lens 

A Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU)

 

Conduct an independent STEM education research project this summer with TERC! Each project will have a particular focus on fostering equity in STEM and STEM education and enhancing transformative social justice.

This Speaker Series focuses on four areas that are critical to developing and sustaining equitable mathematics classrooms in the elementary grades.  Speakers include Forum colleagues and nationally known educators and researchers whose work pertains to equity in mathematics education.
